Overview

Solar Panel Supplies (SPS), warrants all products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship on the date of purchase from Solar Panel Supplies Pty, to the original purchaser for a period of 12 months, unless stated otherwise for a particular product, under normal and proper installation (by a qualified, licensed personnel), from date of shipment. This warranty is not transferable, and is only offered to the original purchaser. The user shall promptly return the defective item with proof of purchase, at the user’s expense to SPS, to inspect and test. SPS, reserves the right to repair or replace items covered by warranty. Any repair or replacement of product offered under this warranty does not extend or renew the warranty period.

Limited Liability

SPS will not under any circumstances be liable for special or consequential damages including but not limited to, loss of profits, revenue or good will, any other goods or equipment, or facilities, cost of capital or storage or inspection, cost of substitution equipment, downtime costs, or claims of customers or purchase from such damage. SPS reserves the right to examine the failed item and reserves the right to be the sole judge as to whether the item is covered under this warranty.

Before utilization or installation, the item should be insured by user / installer and covered with applicable building insurance. Without insurance, SPS would be exempt of any responsibility or duty for any accident such as fire, disaster, short circuit, or any damage.

SPS will not be liable for:

  1. Problems resulting from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, mishandling, negligence, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, natural disaster, or other external causes unrelated to product defect;
  2. Conditions demonstrating misuse, faulty installation, misapplication, extreme environmental conditions beyond those defined in the product specification, under / over voltage situations, lack of compliance with applicable instructions, improper or inadequate handling, shipping, maintenance, negligence, accident, or tampering;
  3. Incompatibility, improper design, manufacture, installation, operation or maintenance of products not supplied by SPS.
  4. Situations where the product has found to be tampered with, partial or completely disassembled units will not be subject to a warranty claim.
  5. Any equipment that has not been installed in accordance with the latest applicable AS/NZS standards;
  6. The quality of the installation equipment by the installer of this product.

Effective 1st Aug, 2015. Warranty terms and conditions do not pertain to purchases made prior to the effective date.
